The project aims to combine quality and community to create a safe and diverse residential and business area. The listed Mørkhøjgård, located on the property, will be restored and serve as a central hub with shared facilities for the residents. The surrounding park will provide an important green oasis, and the development will be carried out with respect for the area's nature and cultural heritage. All homes will also be designed with a focus on architecture and quality of life.
Most recently, we completed Irmabyen in Rødovre, a development project of 135,000 m² with over 1,000 new homes. Irmabyen was developed on the former Irma headquarters, which we acquired in 2012. The IB1 property in Irmabyen has received a DGNB Gold certification in recognition of the project's high standards in environmental sustainability, material selection, and social sustainability.
The experiences gained from Irmabyen will be incorporated into this new project, combined with new technologies and market data to ensure a high-quality urban development. The plan also includes the implementation of the Living By ALFA concept, which has its roots in Irmabyen. The concept encompasses rental homes with a focus on shared facilities, community, and quality of life across generations.
The property was sold by Statens Ejendomsselskab, Freja Ejendomme, to ALFA Development. The local plan was approved by the Gladsaxe Municipality City Council in November 2024.
